This Special Bot is on the third section of the stage, Deep Dataspace. When arriving at the location, play as normal until just before the fourth checkpoint where you can yank a gun out of the ground in a small elevated platform to the left. Puzzle Piece 3/4 – Just after the pinball area you will slide across some ice blocks. This puzzle piece is just after one of the ledges you drop down on the blocks. You can hold the touchpad button down to bring yourself to a stop on the ice.
Astro Can’t Run Off Dangerous Ledges
Each area showcases innovative gameplay that taps into the new feature of the PS5’s DualSense wireless controller. The slight downside is that Astro’s Playroom is concise, as completing the game will take you an hour and a half. However, there are many collectibles to obtain, and Team Asobi has added free content updates. If you ever wanted to earn a platinum trophy, this is the game to do it. Sony boldly chose Astro Bot to lead the PlayStation 5 with the tech demo Astro’s Playroom. This came pre-installed with every PlayStation 5 console to show the power of the PS5 and DualSense controller.
We hope you are getting ready for a good summer and have enjoyed the last few weeks of gaming news. Many of the bots making up the crew are cameo characters that have marked the PlayStation history. By unlocking these 4 hidden characters in Astro’s Playroom, you will be able to take them with you into the new game, Astro Bot, and add them to your starting crew.
The PS One LCD monitor was an attachment that allowed the console to be played without using a full-sized television. HM88 plugged into the back of the unit and used the RGB video signal, providing a much clearer picture than the Composite and S-Video signals most players used. It also featured a headphone jack, and a Multi Out port that meant the system could still be connected to a TV as normal. At the top, wait for the last block to slide left so you can stand on the left-hand side. Use a jump and Beam Glide to land on top of the block (just like you did before), then ride the block left through the Coins. From here you can jump left one last time to land on a button that reveals a Yellow Trampoline.
Artifact 1/2 “DUALSHOCK 3 Wireless Controller” – Continue left out onto the small island, defeat the three enemies then pull up the wires to find this artifact. Astro’s Playroom – Trophy Guide
These DLC trophies often require players to revisit familiar areas with new objectives or explore entirely new environments. Some Silver trophies may require multiple attempts or a deep understanding of the game’s hidden mechanics. By employing smart strategies, utilizing available resources, and maintaining a determined attitude, players can successfully conquer these challenges and progress closer to the coveted Platinum trophy.
It’s also free with every new PlayStation 5, so it’s the one game that you can almost guarantee everyone will play – and it gives a very good first impression. Below you’ll find a list of all Artefacts locations in Astro’s Playroom. Click on the Artefact’s name for a more detailed explanation, or click on the level’s name for a full guide to all the collectibles in that area. Collecting all the Artefacts in Astro’s Playroom will unlock the Dude Raider Trophy.
Collaboration with other players through online communities can also prove invaluable. Sharing tips, tricks, and strategies can significantly reduce the time and effort required to unlock these trophies. Video guides and walkthroughs can also provide visual aids and step-by-step instructions for particularly challenging tasks. Detailed descriptions for each Bronze trophy are essential for efficient trophy hunting. These descriptions outline the exact requirements for unlocking each trophy, providing clear instructions on what actions to perform and where to find specific items or locations.
A second reference to the game is the “Adequate, Boy…” Trophy, awarded for shooting all the rabbits at the end of Mt. Motherboard level in GPU Jungle. The name is a reference to Kratos always referring to his son as “boy”, as well as his habit of faint praise. After going down the long DualShock Cable, look right to spot a ship made out of blocks. This is the Ferox ship from Resogun, a 2013 launch title for the PS4 developed by Housemarque. It was one of the most well-received titles for the console, and a year later it would be ported to PS3 and PS Vita.

Take the machine gun back to where puzzle piece 3 was, where you might have noticed a box with a wire pull in it. Shoot this box to break it, then pull the wire to reveal this artifact. Puzzle Piece 1/4 – Right at the start of the level, look down and to the left to see a group of three of the spinnable flowers. Spin all three to raise the platform they are on, revealing this puzzle piece. Puzzle Piece 1/4 – As soon as the level starts, turn around and head back across the platforms to find this puzzle piece. Puzzle Piece 2/4 – After reaching the next group of enemies circling a platform, go to the left where you can pull a wire and reach a tightrope.
Once you get to the very top of Mt. Motherboard, on the right you can see a Bot in a white cloak fighting against the wind. The character is a White Cloak, unlocked by finding all the Symbols in the game, and the struggle against the snow refers to the famous snowstorm finale. After defeating the stone dragon boss and reaching the start of Mt. Motherboard, look to the left to spot two fighters, one victorious over the other. The scene depicts the canon ending of the game, where Kazuya Mishima is victorious over his father Heihachi. At the second Checkpoint, look left to spot a giant white robot with a rock club, and a Bot with a sword and tunic on a tiny pinnacle in front of him.
But it’s not all suits and colorful levels to enjoy, there’s also a mountain of collectibles to find that tug on the nostalgic heartstrings of any PlayStation fan. For example, one level of SSD Speedway gives Astro a mini gun to fight against a swarm of enemies, and one level in GPU Jungle gives Astro a bow for some ranged combat. Enemies themselves are either simplistically designed slimes, enemy robots, or spring-action bird things that can take out Astro with a surge of electricity. Explore four worlds, each one showcasing innovative gameplay using the new and versatile features of the PS5 DualSense™ wireless controller. After the credits are finished, you’ll be surprised with one last gift.
In the Labo Room will be three Bots cheering on another Bot using a dance mat. This references Dance Dance Revolution, a popular arcade game developed by Konami that was ported to the PS1 in 1999 exclusively in Japan. The game came bundled with a dance mat, but could also be played using a controller. One of the rewards in the Gacha game is a Bot playing with two Move Controllers and a PS VR headset. The movement of the Move Controllers are incredibly similar to 2019’s Beat Saber on PS4 by Beat Games. Beat Saber is one of the premiere games of PS VR, alongside Astro Bot Rescue Mission.
By consulting these guides, players can strategically plan their playthrough, ensuring they don’t miss any opportunities to earn these valuable Bronze trophies. Silver trophies present a slightly greater challenge, typically requiring players to complete more complex tasks or collect a larger number of items. Gold trophies are the most demanding, often requiring near-perfect execution or the completion of particularly obscure objectives. Finally, the Platinum trophy, “You’ve Only Done Everything,” is the ultimate reward, earned by unlocking all other trophies in the game. In addition to the base game trophies, there are DLC trophies that offer additional challenges.
